Options
PeerAware provides a number of settings that you can modify for client behavior and workspaces running on your computer.
Personal information
Personal information identifying you to other users in workspaces you connect to.

| Type your name as you want other users to see it | The name other users see when you connect to a workspace. By default this is set to your personal windows login name. |

General
General properties for changing PeerAware behavior.

Shares
Describe and manage the folders you share with other users in workspaces you connect to.

| Shared folders | The list of folders you share with the workspaces you are connected to. |

| Download folder | The folder where files downloaded from other PeerAware users are stored. |
Connection
Manage connection setting for transferring files and receiving search results.

| Automatic | Let PeerAware decide how a transfer connection should be established. Default set. |

| Active | Let users connect to you when transferring data. Only set this option if you know all ports are open into your computer for the TCP and UDP port. |
| Passive | Always let any connection be established from you to other users. If you are connecting to another passive user, the connection will be established with the workspace as a proxy. |
| IP Address | IP address other users connect to when transferring files. |
| TCP Port | Direct transfer connections are established through this port from other PeerAware users |
| UDP Port | Search results based on your queries are sent to this port |
Manage number of concurrent upload and download connections.

Workspaces
Manage workspaces running as a service on your computer.

| Workspace list URL | The address the start page public list is retrieved from. |

Add/Edit Workspace
Add or edit a workspace running as a service on your computer.

| Workspace script | Custom workspace script URL, for when you want to change the behavior of your workspace. |
| Max users | Max users that can connect to a workspace at a time. Default set to 500 users. |
| Minimum share | Minimum share that a user must have before a user is allowed to connect to the workspace. Default set to 0. |
| Port | Port users connect through to join the workspace. |
| Members | List of workspace members. Not required unless "Members only" is checked. |
| Members only | Allow only members of the workspace to connect. |
| Proxy passive clients | If two users are unable to connect directly to each other they can connect through the proxy if this is allowed here. |
| Secure communication | Make sure that all users connect to the workspace and each other using encrypted communication. |
| Hide shared files | Make it impossible to search for, browse or download files in the workspace. |
