Download

PeerAware lets you browse and download files shared by other workspace users. The files you download are saved in the download folder. To be able to copy the files PeerAware will attempt to establish a direct connection between two users for optimal performance. If it is impossible to connect directly, a proxied connection is created through the workspace.

Connections

Connections to and from your computer.

The connections window displays all the connections made to and from other users in connected workspaces. Other users will connect to you when they download or browse your shared files. When you are connected to another user the download icon (download) is displayed next to the user you are connected to. Likewise the upload icon (upload) is displayed next to users who are browsing or downloading your files.

For downloads in progress connection speed and progress is displayed. If you right click on a connection you can choose to browse the user or stop the connection.

Queued Files

The files you select for download are added to the download queue. Choose "Files" > "Queued Files" to see the file list. Here you can also choose to remove files from the queue should you regret choosing a file. The queue is stored between sessions, and PeerAware will download remaining items when you connect to the workspace again, as long as the user and file is still available.
